Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a frustrating condition and is affected by stress/mood and not just by the foods we eat. Part of stress management can include mood management i.e. meditation, mindfulness, yoga. Your yoga instructor can lead you through poses that help relax your abdominal muscles and help relieve painful areas. As well, your yoga instructor can show you poses and breathing to relax your body when feeling tense. Breathing plays a large role in yoga and can help with relaxing the brain.
